Continued support for endpoints running Windows 10

Windows 10 support officially ended on October 14, 2025 for Home, Pro, Enterprise and Education editions (non-LTSC). After that date, Microsoft no longer provides free security updates, technical assistance or feature updates. This section contains information about Bitdefender support for Windows 10.

Will BEST continue to support Windows 10 despite Microsoft's EOS for the OS?

Yes, Bitdefender will continue to support Windows 10, including new features updates for the foreseeable future.

What will Bitdefender offer with the continued support for Windows 10 endpoints?

Continued support means that endpoints using the BEST agent will:

  • Continue to receive antimalware signatures and engine updates targeting malware and threats on endpoints running Windows 10.

  • Continue to be compatible and operational on Windows 10 endpoints as part of enterprise deployments.

Note

Bitdefender Endpoint Security Tools support does not substitute for the operating system security updates that Microsoft stops issuing once Windows 10 reaches its end-of-support date.

What is the bottom line for organizations using Windows 10 and the BEST agent?

Deploying and updating BEST on endpoints running Windows 10 ensures that they remain protected with ongoing security updates, detection technologies, and visibility, even after the operating system reaches its end-of-support date.
