Permission Management
User accounts are created automatically upon first login, and are imported from GravityZone automatically. To access the platform, a user must have Manage Networks rights in GravityZone for their assigned company.
Sharing entities
To grant access to entities for a specific user ir Team in Security Data Lake, use the Sharing feature. Entities include streams, saved searches, dashboards, event definitions, and alerts. To view or interact with an entity, the entity must be shared with the user.
There are three levels of access when sharing an entity:
Viewer - Can view the entity but cannot make changes.
Manager - Can edit all aspects of the entity, including deleting it.
Owner - Has the same permissions as Manager and can also share the entity with other users or teams.
Access levels are designed to separate responsibilities. For example, a user who can modify a dashboard does not automatically have permission to share it with others.
A user’s profile page shows the entities they can access, either directly or through team membership.
