Requirements and prerequisites

The Kaseya integration requires the following resources:

  1. GravityZone license key or valid MSP subscription.

    Note

If you do not have a valid MSP subscription, you can find out more information on the Bitdefender MSP program.

For more information refer to Onboarding.

  2. GravityZoneControl Center set up into your environment.

  3. Kaseya VSA 9.5. with secure web traffic. For more information on how to enable secure web traffic, refer to this Kaseya KB article.

    Note

The Kaseya integration supports only TLS 1.2 and above.

Before integrating Kaseya with GravityZone, make sure that:

  • Your user role has the following access rights to Kaseya resources:

    • For plugin installation:

      • System > Server Management

    • For accessing Bitdefender records and viewing your Kaseya inventory in BitdefenderControl Center:

      • Agent > Agents

      • Agent Procedures > Manage Procedures

      • Audit > Asset

      • Audit > View Individual Data

      • System > Orgs/Groups/Depts/Staff

  • Kaseya VSA API Web Service is enabled. To verify this information:

    1. As Master Admin, log in to VSA and go to System > Server Management > Configure.

    2. Make sure Enable VSA API Web Service is selected.

    3. Make sure Enable Third Party App Installation Globally is selected.

    Note

The Configure section is available only on VSA on-premises servers, where users can make custom configurations. If you are using a Kaseya SaaS server, the necessary services are already enabled by Kaseya.

Submit a request to enable API and 3rd party apps.

  • Kaseya Server Management uses a trusted domain-validated certificate to secure communication between Kaseya Server and related services.

To validate the certificate, go to System > Server Management > Configure and add its associated domain the Change external name/IP address of Server field.

    Note

This step applies only to VSA on-premises servers. If you are using a Kaseya SaaS server, the certificate is already validated.

For more information, refer to Kaseya VSA User Guide.
