Overview
The GravityZone integration with Datto RMM enables the provisioning of Datto sites as GravityZone companies in Control Center and provides automation for the Bitdefender security agent deployment. The integration between the two platforms is achieved via our new Bitdefender Datto Companion App. The Datto RMM inventory serves as the starting point to be provisioned into the GravityZone inventory and map the corresponding entities to each other. Once the mapping is established, the new platform is designed to improve the automation and the data sharing between the two platforms by offering actions as response to any discrepancy between the inventories, in order to keep them synchronized.
BitdefenderGravityZone company and taking advantage of the extra features of GravityZone Control Center that are not possible via a traditional integration. The scalability between the two platforms is easier and the productivity of our partners is increased by promoting consistency.
This documentation is intended to guide Datto RMM administrators to integrate Bitdefender GravityZone with Datto RMM. You will learn how to install the Bitdefender components, configure the integration in Datto Companion APP, followed by the security agent deployment.
Integration features

How the integration works
The integration maps Datto RMM sites to Bitdefender GravityZone companies via the new Datto Companion App.
Bitdefender hosts GravityZone Control Center, a multi-tenant console where MSPs can manage their customers and apply security protection for specific companies. The Datto Companion App is a management console that facilitates the mapping of Datto RMM Sites into Bitdefender GravityZone companies.
The registration to the Datto Companion App is achieved by providing the following Datto RMM details:
Datto RMM tenant server address
Datto RMM user API key
Datto RMM user API secret
After a Datto RMM Site is mapped with a Bitdefender GravityZone company, the Datto Companion App will create an association between the two entities. The newly created associations will be the backbone for our autonomous synchronization between Datto RMM and Bitdefender GravityZone.
Each associations also automatically creates for each Datto RMM Site the necessary site variable in order to deploy the Bitdefender security agent. You can deploy the Bitdefender security agent to individual or multiple targets. The deployment is done through jobs and monitoring policies running the Bitdefender component. Running the Bitdefender components with accurate site variable ensures a correct security agent deployment. Consequently, your Datto RMM targets are correctly grouped and managed in Control Center in their respective GravityZone companies.

The Bitdefender components provide automated security services compatible with Windows, macOS and Linux devices. The Datto Companion APP integration includes the following Bitdefender components:

Bitdefender GravityZone provides multiple security layers for your devices, such as Antimalware, Content Control, Firewall, Device Control, Full Disk Encryption, Patch Management, and advanced technologies like tunable machine learning, sandbox or Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR).
The architecture of this solution includes the following components:
Datto Companion App, a web console to manage and monitor the integration with Datto RMM.
GravityZoneControl Center, a web console to manage, monitor and deploy device protection.
Security agents with protection layers configurable through Control Center.
