Description

Add Message Header

Add a custom header to the email. You can enter any value you like(e.g. name tags, message keywords, etc).

Add to Global Quarantine

Save a copy of the message in Global Quarantine and select one of the existing custom quarantine server to be reviewed by an administrator.

Add to Personal Safe List

Automatically add any message recipient to the sender's Personal Safe List

Add to Spam Score

Add a specific value to the email message spam score.

Note

The spam score can be used by the Spam Score condition to perform further actions.

Add to Virus Score

Add a specific value to the email message virus score.

Note

The virus score can be used by the Virus Score condition to perform further actions.

Append HTML

Add a fragment of HTML to the end of the email body using a the rich-text editor.

Note

We recommend combining this action with the Append Text action, for email clients that do not display HTML messages.

Append Text

Add a fragment of plain text to the end of the email body.

Append to Subject

Add a fragment of plain text to the end of the email subject.

DKIM Signing

Add a DKIM signature to the message. You can choose the key complexity value from the drop-down list.

DKIM Verification Required

Specify the type of DMARC verification required to result in a pass.

LinkScan

Enabling LinkScan scans URLs in the email message body. You can choose the action taken if a potential threat is detected. Options include:

  • Auto Redirect, Block on threat, Show target URL with Doc Scan - The user is automatically redirected to the target URL unless a threat is detected. If the target is an embedded document (e.g. Onedrive, PDF, Dropbox) then the document will also be scanned for URLs that may be a threat. If a threat is detected, there is no option to continue to the target URL. The target URL is visible on the linkscan.io scan page.

  • Auto Redirect, Block on threat, Hide target URL with Doc Scan - The user is automatically redirected to the target URL unless a threat is detected. If a threat is detected, the reason will be displayed with no option to continue and the destination URL will be hidden. If the target is an embedded document (e.g. Onedrive, PDF, Dropbox) then the document will also be scanned for URLs that may be a threat.

  • Auto Redirect, Continue on threat, Hide target URL with Doc Scan - The user is automatically redirected to the target URL unless a threat is detected. If a threat is detected, the reason will be displayed with a continue button available and the destination URL will be hidden. If the target is an embedded document (e.g. Onedrive, PDF, Dropbox) then the document will also be scanned for URLs that may be a threat.

  • Click to Continue, Block on threat, Show target URL with Doc Scan - Requires a click to continue if the URL is checked and passes all checks. If a threat is detected, there is no option to the target URL. The target URL is visible on the linkscan.io scan page. If the target is an embedded document (e.g. Onedrive, PDF, Dropbox) then the document will also be scanned for URLs that may be a threat.

  • Click to Continue, Block on threat, Hide target URL and Doc Scan - Requires a click to continue if the URL is checked and passes all checks. If a threat is detected, there is no option to the target URL. The target URL is not visible on the linkscan.io scan page. If the target is an embedded document (e.g. Onedrive, PDF, Dropbox) then the document will also be scanned for URLs that may be a threat.

  • Click to Continue, Continue on threat, Show target URL, Doc Scan - Requires a click to continue if the URL is checked and passes all checks. If a threat is detected, a button is shown to allow to continue to target URL. The target URL is visible on the linkscan.io scan page. If the target is an embedded document (e.g. Onedrive, PDF, Dropbox) then the document will also be scanned for URLs that may be a threat.

Notify Recipient

Send a message to the recipient of the email. You will need to fill in the following information:

  • From Address

  • To Address

  • Subject

  • Message

You can only use this action if:

  • The Direction condition is present and is set to Matches: Inbound.

  • The Notify Sender action is not present in the rule.

  • When configuring the action:

    • Only one To address address is supported. To send the notification to multiple users use a group email address.

    • The From address field must contain an email address.

    • The Message field must not be blank and must not contain the colon : character.

Tip

  • The Subject is optional and can also include placeholders.

  • If To address is left blank, it will default to either the sender or the recipient.

  • The Message field is limited to 1000 characters and can also include placeholders.

Notify Sender

Send a message to the sender of the email. You will need to fill in the following information:

  • From Address

  • To Address

  • Subject

  • Message

You can only use this action if:

  • The Direction condition is present and is set to Matches: Outbound.

  • The Notify Recipient action is not present in the rule.

  • When configuring the action:

    • Only one To address address is supported. To send the notification to multiple users use a group email address.

    • The From address field must contain an email address.

    • The Message field must not be blank and must not contain the colon : character.

Tip

  • The Subject is optional and can also include placeholders.

  • If To address is left blank, it will default to either the sender or the recipient.

  • The Message field is limited to 1000 characters and can also include placeholders.

Prefix HTML

Add a fragment of HTML to the end of the email body using a the rich-text editor.

Prefix Text

Add a fragment of plain text to the start of the email body.

Prefix to Subject

Add a fragment of plain text to the start of the email subject.

Re-Route To

Sends the email to a specific email server instead of the intended recipient.

Save Copy in Quarantine

Save a copy of this email to the Global Quarantine.

Send Copy To

Send a copy of this email to a specific email address.

Set Spam Score

Set the email's spam score to a specific value, overriding any value the email may already have been given.

Set Virus Score

Set the email's virus score to a specific value, overriding any value the email may already have been given.

The virus score can be used by the Virus Score condition to perform further actions.

Subtract from Spam Score
