Sorting, filtering, and searching for endpoints

Sorting, filtering, and searching for containers

Depending on the number of endpoints, the container host table can span several pages (only 20 entries are displayed per page by default). To move through the pages, use the navigation buttons at the bottom of the table. To change the number of entries displayed on a page, select an option from the menu next to the navigation buttons.

If there are too many entries, you can use the Filters menu to display only the entities you are interested in. For example, you can search for a specific container or choose to view only the managed virtual machines.

Sorting containers

To sort data by a specific column, click on open_settings_columns.png Settings. This will reorganize the rows based on the values in that column.

For example, if you want to order containers by name, click the Name heading.

If you click the heading again, the containers will be displayed in reverse order.

Filtering virtual machines

  1. Select the group that you want in the tree view.

  2. Click the Filters menu at the upper-side of the network panes area.

  3. Use the filter criteria to easily display only specific entities, providing several filter criteria.

    Note

Click Reset filters to clear the filter and display all containers.

  4. Click Apply to filter the virtual machines by the selected criteria.

Searching for containers

  1. Select the desired container in the table.

  2. Enter the search term in the corresponding box under the column headers (Name, OS or IP) from the right-side pane. For example, enter the IP of the container you are looking for in the IP field. Only the matching container will appear in the table.

    Note

Clear the search box to display the full list of virtual machines.

Sorting, filtering, and searching for container clusters

Depending on the number of container clusters, the table can span several pages. To move through the pages, use the navigation buttons at the bottom of the table. To change the number of entries displayed on a page, select an option from the menu next to the navigation buttons.

If there are too many entries, you can use the Filters menu to display only the entities you are interested in. For example, you can search for a specific container cluster or choose to view only clusters with issues.

Sorting container clusters

To sort the data in the table by a specific column, click the column heading. This will reorder the rows based on the values in that column.

For example, to order the container clusters by name, click the Name heading. Clicking the heading again will display the entries in reverse order.

Filtering container clusters

To filter the container clusters displayed in the table, take the following steps:

  1. Go to the Container clusters folder in the tree view.

  2. If the desired filters are not already displayed in the filter area above the table, select them from the More dropdown list at the end of the filter area and click Apply.

  3. To refine the selection of entries displayed in the table, select the desired values for each filter from the corresponding dropdown menu and click Apply. To implement advanced filtering criteria, you can use multiple filters simultaneously.

Searching for container clusters

To search for a container cluster, take the following steps:

  1. Go to the Container clusters folder in the tree view.

  2. In the filter area above the table, enter the search term in one of the fields with a magnifying glass icon (magnifying_glass.png), then press Enter or click the magnifying glass icon. For example, enter the name of the container cluster you want to find in the Name field. Only the entries that partially or fully match the search term will be displayed.

    Note

To clear the search and display the full list of container clusters, either delete the search term manually or click the X button on the right edge of the search field.
