Firewall

The Firewall protects the endpoint from inbound and outbound unauthorized connection attempts.

The Firewall's functionality relies on network profiles. The profiles are based on trust levels, which have to be defined for each network.

The Firewall detects each new connection, compares the adapter information for that connection with the information from the existing profiles and applies the correct profile. For detailed information on how the profiles are applied, refer to Network settings.
