Effective October 30, 2026, Bitdefender Mobile Security will no longer support devices running Android 6 or iOS 13. This decision is part of our ongoing effort to align the application with technology advancements and ensure that we can continue to provide the highest level of security, performance, and compatibility.
What does this mean?
Starting October 30, 2026:
- Bitdefender Mobile Security will no longer receive updates or support on devices running Android 6 or iOS 13.
- New installations, features, security improvements, and compatibility updates will require Android 7 / iOS 14 or later.
- Devices running Android 6 or iOS 13 with Bitdefender Mobile Security previously installed will continue to have the app installed. However, some or all of its functionality and security features may no longer be available.
What should I do?
To continue using Bitdefender Mobile Security, update your device to a supported operating system version, if your device allows it.
If your device cannot be upgraded beyond Android 6 or iOS 13, we recommend replacing it with a device that supports a newer operating system.
When does this change take effect?
The end of support takes effect on October 30, 2026.
