How to Check the Bitdefender App Version (Windows & macOS)

To check the main Bitdefender app version:

1. In the left-side menu, click About.

2. On the right-hand side of the window look for the version number under the Bitdefender name.

• Example: Version 2.0.158

This is the version of the main Bitdefender application. It manages the app interface and synchronization with your Bitdefender Central account.

You can also use the Check for update button in this section to check whether a newer version of the Bitdefender app is available.

To check the version of the Security service that protects your device:

1. In the left-side menu, select Security.
2. On the right-hand side of the window look for Security Service.
3. The version number appears below this label.

This is the version of the security solution component. It’s responsible for protection-related functionality, such as antivirus, system scan, or device protection.

To view the Bitdefender VPN service version:

1. In the left-side menu, select VPN.
2. On the right-hand side of the window, look for VPN Service.
3. The version number appears below this label.

This is the version of the Bitdefender VPN service. It handles VPN features such as connecting to VPN servers, Internet Kill-Switch, VPN protocols, and Split tunneling.
