Arris NVG589 (blue interface)
1. Using a computer connected to the AT&T router, open an Internet browser and type 192.168.1.254 to login to web-based control panel.
2. Enter the password, if required (the password will be on your gateway unit usually).
3. Click on Local Network -> WiFi and from WiFi Operation, turn the WiFi OFF.
4. Click Save to apply settings.
Uverse modems (grey interface)
1. Using a computer connected to the AT&T router, open an Internet browser and type 192.168.1.254 to login to web-based control panel.
2. Enter the password, if required (the password will be on your gateway unit usually).
3. Select Wireless.
4. Under Wireless Interface, select Disabled from the drop-down list.
5. Click Save to apply settings.
6. A Configuration successful page should appear to reconfirm wireless interface is disabled.
