Follow the steps below to uninstall Bitdefender App from your Mac. If you decide to reinstall it later, you can easily do so by following our guide – How to Install and Set Up Bitdefender App on macOS.
1. Open Finder
Click on an empty area of your desktop, or click the Finder icon in the Dock (the blue smiling face icon).
2. Go to the Applications Folder
From the menu bar at the top of the screen, click Go and then click Applications in the list of options.
3. Open the Bitdefender Folder
In the Applications window, double-click the Bitdefender folder to open it.
4. Launch the Bitdefender Uninstaller
Inside the Bitdefender folder, double-click Bitdefender Uninstaller.
5. Select Bitdefender to Uninstall
A new window will appear.
- Check the box next to Bitdefender.
- Click the Uninstall button at the bottom of the window.
6. Enter Your Mac Password
Enter the password you use to unlock your Mac each time you are prompted.
This allows macOS to authorize the removal of all Bitdefender files, including its system extensions.
7. Complete the Process
Wait for the Bitdefender uninstallation to finish, then click Close.
After completing these steps, the Bitdefender App will be successfully uninstalled from your macOS computer.
