Can I uninstall Bitdefender Virus Scanner by using the drag and drop method?

To uninstall Bitdefender Virus Scanner using drag and drop, follow these steps:

  1. Open a Finder window.

  2. Go to the Applications folder.

  3. Drag and drop the application to the Trash. This will remove the application bundle.

This method leaves some files (about 300 MB) in :

~/Library/Application Support/Bitdefender Virus Scanner

These files are not used by any other app and do not slow down your system.

You can remove the files at any moment, if you uninstalled the application. If you want to remove them, follow these steps:

  1. Open a Finder window.

  2. Click Go in the menu bar and select Go to Folder.

  3. Type

    ~/Library/Application Support

    and click Go.

  4. Remove the folder Bitdefender Virus Scanner by dragging it to the Trash.

  5. Make sure to empty the Trash.
