How to Fix Slow Windows Startup After Installing Bitdefender App

If you notice slow Windows startup after installing Bitdefender App, especially immediately after installation, this does not necessarily indicate an issue with your PC. After installation, Bitdefender performs several initialization and security-related tasks in the background. These processes can temporarily affect startup time.

Restart Windows a couple of times

Before changing any Bitdefender settings, restart your computer once or twice.

This gives Bitdefender time to complete its initial setup. In many cases, Windows startup time will return to normal after these first few restarts, and no further action is needed.

If your computer still takes a long time to boot up, check the Early boot scan option in Bitdefender. When enabled, this feature performs a security check early in the boot process and can increase the increase startup time.
