I asked about uninstalling and was told to use the Control Panel so I suspect there is not a 2016 uninstall tool yet....

I do have to note that before the reinstall of windows I still had version 27.0.54.271 installed so I don't know if this password protected discrepancy is because of the windows 10 reinstall or the newest...

...Some steps mentioned by @Gjoksi I have also done, such as repairing Bitdefender or uninstalling and re-installing the AV using its uninstall tool, but without success and the problem persists....
