Downloaded the BitDefender uninstall tool, restarted computer. Setup ran fine after that.

Not that I know of, as mainly (also) what it's scanning for is incompatible software that would need to be uninstalled before BD could be installed properly with less problems and glitches....

I uninstalled the bitdefender agent, so i deleted the "bitdefender agent" and "bitdefender antivirus free" folders at program files. Its worked for me.

Laptop came with Norton which was uninstalled & then Kaspersky.
