...I uninstalled bitdefender for Windows before finalizing the order and reinstalled the free trial version hoping that it would allow me to choose the 5 device license....

So I gather that re-using the previous installer was a bad move. So I sent another email link with a new invite. Uninstalled the client. Used newly received installer to install client....

Rather than start a fresh thread on this, assuming bitdefender detects something, I take it it would be a case of booting to safe to uninstall then rescan?...

Have tried uninstalling and reinstalling BD - no difference. Major annoyance is how long it takes to launch apps. Vivaldi was ~2 mins....

Well, to narrow down here that if you will uninstall an antivirus by the company's uninstall tool, it will always bypass the password protection....
