To be on the safe side, I am going to use brute force and uninstall and reinstall Bitdefender with the hope that VPN will connect and display as before. Thanks everyone for your assistance....

Uninstalling and reinstalling sometimes corrects the issue; you can try doing that....

installation does not activate. - What do you mean here? So you have uninstalled the VPN app, then download it again and tried to reinstall it and the process doesn't start?

Bitdefender blocks it when trying to install antigravity....

If needed, totally uninstall BD using the uninstall tool below, and reinstall it from Central. Let us know if that helped. Scott...

Thank you for your reply - You use the phrase "often lets Scarlet work without fully uninstalling Bitdefender". To me it means often you still need to uninstall Bitdefender....
