How to uninstall Bitdefender Password Manager

We’ll walk you through 3 different methods to uninstall the Password Manager extension in your Microsoft Edge browser:

Method 1

1. In Microsoft Edge navigate to edge://extensions to go directly to the list of extensions added to this web browser.

2. To uninstall the extension click on “Remove” next to Bitdefender Password Manager.

ⓘ Note: To disable the extension without removing it, toggle Bitdefender Password Manager to the off position in the list of Installed extensions. The colour of the switch will change from blue to grey.

3. You will see a prompt at the top of the browser asking if you wish to Remove Bitdefender Password Manager from Microsoft Edge. Click the “Remove” button if you wish to proceed.

Method 2

1. Click the menu ••• in the top right corner of your Microsoft Edge browser.

2. Select “Extensions” in the menu.

3. Edge will display your list of installed extensions. Click on ••• next to the Bitdefender Password Manager extension, then select “Remove from Microsoft Edge”.

Method 1

1. Visit about:addons in Mozilla Firefox to go directly to the list of extensions added to this web browser.

2. To uninstall the extension click on ••• next to Bitdefender Password Manager, then select “Remove” in the menu.

3. Firefox will prompt you to confirm the action. Click the “Remove” button if you wish to proceed.

Method 2

1. Click the menu ≡ in the top right corner of your Firefox browser.

2. Then select “Add-ons and themes” in the menu.

3. Firefox will display your list of installed extensions. Click on ••• next to the Bitdefender Password Manager extension, then select “Remove”.

To uninstall the Password Manager extension in Safari:

1. In Safari click the “Safari” menu at the top of your Mac’s desktop and select “Preferences”.

2. Go to the “Extensions” tab at the top of the Preferences window to view your list of installed extensions. 

3. Select the Bitdefender Password Manager extension on the left-hand side, then press the “Uninstall” button to remove it from your Mac.

ⓘ Note: To disable the extension without removing it, untick the Bitdefender Password Manager checkbox in the Extensions list.

4. Safari will inform you this extension is part of the Bitdefender Password Manager application. Choose “Show in Finder”.

5. A folder containing all Bitdefender applications installed on your Mac will pop up. Double-click on “Bitdefender Uninstaller” as shown below.

6. Check “Bitdefender Password Manager” in the window that asks you to select the name of the product you want to delete, then click the “Uninstall” button.

7. When prompted, input an administrator name and password, then press the OK button.

8. Press the “Close” button at the end of the Bitdefender Password Manager uninstall process.
