Bitdefender Endpoint Security Tools: End of support for macOS 11 Big Sur
Starting on January 1, 2026, the Bitdefender Endpoint Security Tools (BEST) kit will no longer install on macOS 11 Big Sur. Customers who need to perform new installations on this legacy macOS version can either:
Use a previously saved version of the BEST kit.
Contact Bitdefender Enterprise Support to request a compatible version and detailed installation procedure.
Recommendation
We strongly recommend upgrading to a newer macOS version. Running the latest operating system ensures access to the most recent BEST releases, which include all features, performance improvements, and security updates.
Continued functionality and end of support
Existing BEST installations on macOS 11 Big Sur will continue to operate normally and receive signature and critical product updates until January 1, 2027.
After this date, BEST will no longer be supported on macOS 11 Big Sur.
Note
macOS 11 Big Sur has been deprecated by Apple and has not received security updates since September 26, 2023. Continuing to use this version may expose systems to unpatched vulnerabilities.
