Emergency Contacts

The Emergency Contacts page can be found under Service Management. It provides a list of people that the SOC team can reach out to in case of an emergency.

Emergency Contacts page

For each contact, you must provide the following details:

  • Name

  • Role

  • Email address

  • Phone number

  • Location

  • Timezone

The contact card has a label at the upper right corner to mark the decision makers.

Emergency contacts can be:

  • Created in the GravityZone console. This single contact is marked as such and has a dotted border.

  • Created directly by users in the MDR Portal. These contacts have a regular border and have options for move, edit, and delete.

  • Inherited from a parent company in the MDR Portal. These contacts are marked as such and have a dotted border.

Emergency contacts created in GravityZone or inherited from parent companies have a dotted border.

Adding the emergency contact in GravityZone

The emergency contact from GravityZone is automatically added in the MDR Portal based on the MDR contact details provided when creating or editing a Customer company with a Bitdefender MDR or Bitdefender MDR PLUS license in the GravityZone console.

Adding emergency contacts directly in the MDR Portal

To add a new emergency contact in the MDR Portal, follow these steps:

  1. Click the 124821_1.PNG Add new button.

  2. Fill in the contact information fields.

  3. If the user has authority to take decisions that might have high impact repercussions, select the Decision maker check box. This way, the SOC team knows who to contact in these situations.

  4. Select the company to which the user belongs.

  5. Click the addcontact.PNG Add contact button.

Inheriting emergency contacts in the MDR Portal

Any new emergency contact in the MDR Portal in a Partner company is automatically inherited by all managed companies.

Deleting emergency contacts

To delete an emergency contact created directly in the MDR Portal, follow these steps:

  1. Hover your mouse cursor over the emergency contact card.

  2. Click the delete.PNG delete icon in the upper-right corner of the card.

Note

Inherited emergency contacts can be deleted only within the parent company, The emergency contact from GravityZone cannot be deleted.

Editing emergency contacts

To edit an emergency contact created directly in the MDR Portal, follow these steps:

  1. Hover your mouse cursor over the emergency contact card.

  2. Click the edit.PNG edit icon in the upper-right corner of the card.

  3. Change the details you want.

  4. Click the update.PNG Update button.

Note

Changes made to any emergency contacts in Partner companies are automatically propagated to the companies inheriting them.

Emergency contacts from GravityZone can be edited only in the GravityZone console. For details, refer to the GravityZone documentation.

Reordering emergency contacts

You can reorder only the emergency contacts created directly in the MDR Portal.

To reorder emergency contacts, follow these steps:

  1. Go to an emergency card and click on the upper left corner of the card.

  2. With your mouse, drag and drop the card wherever you want between the other movable cards.

    You cannot move the card over a contact created in GravityZone or inherited from a parent.
