Bitdefender 2013 Wins Pc Mag Editors Choice For Commercial Antivirus Protection 2525

Bitdefender 2013 had "excellent results in independent lab tests", according to PC Mag

Bitdefender®, the award-winning provider of innovative antivirus solutions, won PC Mag’s Editor’s Choice award for commercial antivirus protection with its new Bitdefender Antivirus Plus 2013 software.

“Bitdefender Antivirus Plus 2013 performed very well in PCMag's tests and in independent lab tests,” PC Mag’s Lead Analyst for Security Neil J. Rubenking said. “It offers quite a few features that you'd expect to find only in a full-scale suite, among them powerful phishing protection and a hardened browser for financial transactions.”

The most impressive new feature is full remote management, according to PC Mag. The new interface offers “easy access to all of your Bitdefender installations,” helping you to “remotely check status, fix problems, launch scans, and trigger updates.”

Bitdefender Antivirus Plus 2013 was also honored with the TopTenREVIEWS Gold Award, rating a perfect 100 percent in “level of success”, and winning first place among 25 security suites. The website that gives users information about smart purchases recommended Bitdefender Antivirus Plus 2013 for its “rock-solid security, simple usability, effective resource usage and an enticing price point.”

PC Mag also reviewed Bitdefender Total Security 2013, which won an “excellent” rating with four out of a maximum five stars in a tough reviewing process. Launched last month after a year of intensive research, Bitdefender Total Security 2013 got “excellent results in antivirus lab tests” and PC Mag’s malware cleanup tests.

"Bitdefender Total Security 2013 includes just about every imaginable security feature, and then some", PC Mag wrote. "The independent labs give it excellent ratings, and all of its components do a good job. It's a very good choice for those who want a full-featured security suite". The "excellent" rating for Bitdefender Total Security 2013 was also due to is “effective phishing protection,” “accurate antispam", "quiet firewall" , and "multi-device parental control".

PC Mag has a rigorous reviewing process that focuses not only on detection, but takes security suites through a series of steps, comparing them with all recent and relevant products. The process follows a regular test and scoring system for malware removal and blocking, antispam, performance or antiphishing.
