Bogdan IrinaWorldwide Sales and Marketing Director
Mr. Irina manages commercial teams in Romania, Spain, Germany and the United States for the Company, along with business development, negotiation and partnerships in over twenty-five countries. Responsible for the development of global business, marketing and sales strategies, he also facilitates project management in both the technical and commercial segments. With a comprehensive, working knowledge of software, Bogdan rounds out his thorough understanding of business having previously owned his own successful retail firm. Mr. Irina holds a degree in law from the Spiru Haret University of Bucharest.
Viorel CanjaHead of BitDefender Labs
Heading up a team some of the most versed virologists in the world, Mr. Canja manages the engine development and virus research teams for the Company. Personally responsible for growing his team from 5 to 25 people in 5 years, the group’s production and response time to new threats is among the best in the industry—garnering accolades from some of the most trusted institutions and publications in the world. Viorel is a graduate of the Polytechnic University of Bucharest.
Catalin-Sever StavaruSoftware Development Director
Mr. Stavaru is responsible for the coordination of the BitDefender development teams, along with the architecture of software, and the leveraging of new development technologies. Using his expertise, Catalin architected the next generation of the robust BitDefender Enterprise Manager and BitDefender Desktop, as well as many integral pieces of the current generation of BitDefender products. Mr. Stavaru holds a degree in computer science from the Polytechnic University of Bucharest.
Radu Adrian Garici
Testing Manager
Mr. Garici is responsible for the coordination of the rigorous testing process through which all BitDefender products go before release to the market. Additionally, he develops the automated testing system for the entire BitDefender product line. Radu is a graduate of the Academy of Economic Studies of Bucharest, Faculty of Cybernetics, ISTQB (International Software Testing Qualifications Board).
Razvan DitaChief Information Officer – Headquarters
Responsible for building and managing the global BitDefender Information Technology department since its inception, Mr. Dita has been with the Company in Bucharest, Romania since 2001. The architect of BitDefender’s formidable back-end infrastructure, Razvan and his hand-selected team of technology professionals manage the systems and applications that run the company worldwide. Mr. Dita is an electronics and telecommunications graduate of the Polytechnic University of Bucharest.
Mihai RusescuBusiness Unit Manager EMEA & APAC, Mr. Rusescu was personally responsible for executing the impressive task of setting up distribution channels for BitDefender products throughout the entire Asia-Pacific region.
After his graduation he started his career as Financial Consultant in chemical and automotive industry. He moved to banking in 1999, being a member of the founding team for Romanian International Bank and had stayed there for almost two years in money market and foreign exchange operations. He moved from banking business to internet and software industry in 2000 where together with 2 partners has founded and managed a software development company, creating the first business to business online marketplace in Romania and developing software projects for companies in Romania and Canada Mihai holds a degree in finance and banking from the Academy of Economic Studies in Bucharest. He also studied international business finance at the University of Minnesota in the United States.
