Peed Trojan Rises Again
The trojan is being sent in many slightly different forms (polymorphed) which makes detection and blocking difficult.
"Many companies have taken to blocking all exe attachments at the gateway, but home users unprotected by a solid antivirus software who click the attachment are still at risk, declared Sorin Dudea, BitDefender virus analyst. Hopefully, the lesson of not executing attachments has sunk in by now, but we won't be able to tell until a couple of days from now."
BitDefender users are protected, as an update published today has added the new Trojan.Peed variants to the signature database.
