QuickScan and StreamDefender are latest anti-malware detection tools being made available to BitDefender OEMs
Stepping up support for its growing OEM business, BitDefender®, an award-winning provider of innovative internet security solutions, is showcasing two products for OEMs at this year’s RSA conference in San Francisco -- QuickScan, an advanced online tool used for detecting malware running on computers, and StreamDefender, which provides the first line of defense for malware protection without the performance-reducing latency, memory and hardware requirements of traditional anti-virus solutions.
BitDefender’s QuickScan, which allows users to quickly check anytime, anywhere if their computer is free from active malware, is supported by a revamped website that provides clear information about threats. The online service offers an easy-to-use, non-invasive and much faster alternative to traditional online system scanning solutions, quickly checking users’ systems for any active malware instances against an always-updated cloud-based database. One of the fastest endpoint detection tools, QuickScan can scan for active running malware in less than a minute. QuickScan is a cloud scanning tool that requires no software, no updates, and works with existing anti-virus software.
StreamDefender, like QuickScan, utilizes new technologies to help keep network safe.StreamDefender offers high-speed multi gigabit/s malware detection, protecting networks from top malware threats. With one of the strongest collections of database signatures, StreamDefender has been tested to show 4 times better detection performance against multiple sample tests. Flexible and non-invasive, StreamDefender is hardware agnostic and requires little or no CPU degradation, memory or requirements. It is compatible with all major hardware accelerators and third-party engines.
“A key to the tremendous growth BitDefender is seeing among OEMs is the continuous availability of innovative new products like StreamDefender and QuickScan,” said Peter Laakkonen, General Manager OEM and technology licensing at BitDefender. “In addition to award-winning, technology-leading products that uniquely meet the needs of OEMs, BitDefender has worked to provide this community with the service and support they need to succeed in today’s marketplace.”
BitDefender works with a growing number of OEMs -- technology hardware and software providers and other organizations who are seeking to increase the value of their offering with a comprehensive security solution. Through its OEM Advantage Program, BitDefender enables OEMs to meet business objectives and maximize ROI, combining best-of-breed technology with unprecedented business model flexibility.
BitDefender will be exhibiting in Booth #2327 on February 14-18, 2010, at the Moscone Center in San Francisco.
