How to prepare for installing Bitdefender Management Server using an existing database

Bitdefender Client Security is an easy to use business security and management solution, which delivers superior proactive protection from viruses, spyware, rootkits, spam, phishing and other malware. It offers the following components: Bitdefender Management Server (with/without add-on), Bitdefender Local Update Server, Bitdefender Business Client and Bitdefender Management Agent;

In order to correctly install Bitdefender Management Server using an existing database, you need to:

1. Make sure that Microsoft SQL Server is using Mixed authentication option

Allows users to connect using Windows Authentication or SQL Server Authentication. Users who connect through a Windows user account can make use of trusted connections that are validated by Windows.If you must choose Mixed Mode Authentication and you have a requirement for using SQL logins to accommodate legacy applications, then you must set strong passwords for all SQL accounts. This is of particular importance for accounts that are members of the sysadmin role, especially the sa account. In order to enable this option, you will need to:
         a.  Download and install the SQL Server management Studio Express;
         b.  Go to Start -> Programs -> Microsoft SQL Server 2005 ->and click on SQL Server Management Studio Express;
         c.  Select Windows Authentication at the Authentication area and click Connect;
         d.  Right click on the instance's name and select Properties;
         e.  In the Server Properties window select Security and make sure the SQL Server and Windows Authentication mode option is checked.
