Status: FIXED.
Please follow the steps below:
- Make sure to update your copy of Bitdefender 8
- reset the password by following the below described procedure:
- click Start > Run...
- type regedit and hit OK
- browse to the exact registry key HKEY_USERS\.DEFAULT\Software
- delete the key named SetID
- set the password again
Note: Please make sure to browse to and delete the exact registry key presented above. Any other change to the registry but the one mentioned in this document could lead to serious system malfunctioning.
