Krasnoyarsk-based airline KrasAvia reported a failure of its information systems on Sept. 18, warning passengers of potential disruptions across its network.
The Russian airline urges travelers to monitor flight information directly from airport display boards and loudspeaker announcements, citing ongoing technical issues. However, KrasAvia hasn’t offered any information on what exactly happened.
“There has been a failure in the information systems of the airline KrasAvia. Possible disruptions in services may occur. At present, a team of specialists is working to minimize the risks to the flight schedule and to restore normal service operations as soon as possible,” the airline wrote in its Telegram statement.
Shortly after the disruption was announced, screenshots began to pop up online that showed KrasAvia’s website defaced with threatening imagery.
The defacement featured logos of multiple Russian airlines, including Aeroflot, Pobeda, Rossiya, and Ural Airlines, overlaid with spider webs and the phrase:
“Мы ещё не начинали…” (“We have not even started yet”).
According to the Telegram channel Борус, KrasAvia’s website became inaccessible and calls to the airline’s phone lines failed to connect.
The suspected cyberattack on KrasAvia follows the high-profile hack on Aeroflot in July 2025, which resulted in cancelled flights and major disruptions across Russia. Pro-Ukraine hacktivist groups Silent Crow and the Belarusian Cyber Partisans claimed responsibility for the Aeroflot hack, boasting of how they paralyzed the Russian aviation infrastructure.
While no group has yet taken credit for the KrasAvia disruption, the defacement imagery referencing Aeroflot suggests possible continuity, at least in the same vein if not by the same groups.
As it stands, KrasAvia flights are being carried out on schedule; however, online check-in is currently unavailable, and passengers are advised to arrive at the airport in advance.
