Uninstalling other Security Programs using the system tools [Windows XP]

The Antivirus that is currently installed on your computer can be uninstalled similar to any other software program as follows:
A.    Go to Control Panel and double click Add/Remove programs.
B.    Wait for the installed software list to be displayed.
C.    Locate the name of your Antivirus (usually the name of the company) into this list, highlight it, and then click Remove.
D.    Wait for the uninstall process to complete, and then restart your computer.




Uninstalling other Security Programs using the system tools [Windows Vista and 7]

The Antivirus that is currently installed on your computer can be uninstalled similar to any other software program as follows:
A.    Go to Control Panel and double click Programs and Features.
B.    Wait for the installed software list to be displayed.
C.    Locate the name of your Antivirus (usually the name of the company) into this list, right click on it, and then click Uninstall.
D.    Wait for the uninstall process to complete, and then restart your computer.



Uninstalling other Security Programs using the uninstall tool

Alternatively, you can use the software uninstall tool as described below:
A.   Visit the website of the antivirus that is currently installed on your PC and search for their uninstall tool.
B.   Follow their instructions, and after you are done uninstalling, restart your computer.


To uninstall other security solutions from your MAC you can try one of the following

                                                               
 1)  Locate and mount the .dmg  you used to install the product
      Open the mounted drive and look for the uninstaller.
                 
 2)  Go to Macintosh HD
      Go to the Applications folder
      Go to the security solutions folder
      Look for the uninstaller
