The Funlove virus was detected in a device driver being distributed to HP customers from the HP FTP servers. The very same virus first surfaced on the HP (then Hewlett-Packard) servers in 2000.

Independent antivirus testers AV-Test report that BitDefender provides accurate 100% detection of the <a href="http://www.bitdefender.com/VIRUS-1000073-en--Backdoor.Ginwui.A.html" target="_self" class="link10">Ginwui</a> trojan - a dangerous piece of malware which uses a previously-unknown and as yet unpatched vulnerability to spread. The german testing outfit notes that most commercial software antivirus programs either miss some variants of the trojan or fail to detect it entirely.
