Bitdefender Partners with Alstor to Boost Market Share in Poland

January 2013

#1 antivirus vendor teams up with #1 Polish antivirus distributor

Bitdefender, the global internet security innovator, has signed a distribution agreement with leading Polish value-added distributor Alstor to boost the presence of Bitdefender products in the crucial Eastern European market.

The alliance comes at a key time, matching Alstor’s quarter century of local experience with a series of recent high profile awards that have propelled Bitdefender to another year at the top of the world antivirus industry in terms of quality.

Alstor will distribute the complete range of solutions for home-users, including Desktop, Mac and Mobile security for Bitdefender. The products are primed to gain a stronger market share in Poland on the back of Alstor’s experience and Bitdefender’s rising profile.

In January, Bitdefender won awards from top independent AV analysis firms, including Product of the Year by AV-Comparatives, and Best Repair by AV-TEST. The awards further widen Bitdefender’s lead over the global anti-virus industry after it won the Top Rated of the Year Award from AV-Comparatives and the Best Protection from AV-TEST last year.

I am very pleased with our partnership with Alstor which will provide Polish customers with the best protection for their PCs and mobile devices,” said Maciej Dziobek, Business Development Director at Bitdefender. “With Alstor’s proven success, experience and detailed knowledge of the Polish retail market Bitdefender will expand its presence in Poland.

Alstor CEO Adam Zwierzynski said: “We at Alstor firmly believe that Bitdefender deserves a much better market penetration in Poland than today. Especially after all those latest Awards and special features Bitdefender collected and developed in the last month. We are honoured that Bitdefender has chosen Alstor to fill in all the required missing distribution know-how to bring Bitdefender to its rightfully deserved place on the Polish internet security landscape.”
