Luxury fashion house Dior has confirmed that a cyberattack exposed the personal data of an undisclosed number of customers.
The data breach is believed to have impacted customers of the French luxury brand in South Korea and China, with reports of data breach notices being received by consumers in these regions.
According to screenshots of the notifications, the company detected unauthorized access to its systems on May 7. The exposed data includes:
No passwords or financial information has been accessed, according to a security notice published on Dior’s South Korean website.
“No passwords or payment information, including bank account or payment card information, were in the database affected in the incident,” the statement reads. “We are working to notify relevant regulators and customers in line with applicable law. The confidentiality and security of our customers’ data is an absolute priority for the House of Dior. We sincerely regret any concern or inconvenience this matter may cause our customers.”
While the incident is still under investigation, Dior customers are advised to watch out for phishing attempts and scam messages leveraging the exposed information.
