The Bitdefender Parental Control features offer digital help to parents and extra online safety to children. Filter out inappropriate content and limit screen time. You can log in remotely to Bitdefender Central to monitor your kids’ online activities. Parental Control is available on Windows, macOS, iOS, and Android with a different feature set depending on each platform. There are a few important things to know about the Bitdefender Parental Control features:
Bitdefender Parental Control is designed to work across all major platforms: Windows, Android, macOS, and iOS. As each system has its own limitations, some of the features might not function on all platforms.
See what applications and programs your child is using and take the appropriate measures when you consider.
- Available on: Windows, macOS, and Android.
Select the content categories you want to keep away from your children from a predefined list. You can also manually allow or block specific URLs.
- Available on: Windows, macOS, and Android devices.
This feature is available for most IoT devices together with the Bitdefender BOX product, and only while the devices are connected to the Bitdefender BOX network.
It will always offer you access to your child’s latest phone contacts.
- Available only on iOS and Android devices.
Make sure your kids are OK even when they’re not by your side. Track their location so you always know where they are or save your kids the dread of an extra phone call – let them tell you they’re OK with Safe Check-in.
- Available on Android and iOS.
Check how much time your child spends on a specific device, and when. Help them build healthy habits, both online and offline.
- Available on: Windows, macOS and Android.
Currently, on iOS only the Schedules functionality is available. Time spent on the device can’t be tracked.

Email Reports & Notifications
As a parent, you receive a summary of the child’s online activity via e-mail, in a daily, weekly, or monthly report. You are also notified, in the parent dashboard, when the child attempts to access blocked websites or blocked apps, leaves the safe areas or enters restricted areas, sends or receives a call or a text from a blocked / unknown phone number, or when the child removes/tries to remove the Parental Control app.
