How to check if I am logged into Windows with an administrator account

In this article, we will show you how to check if you’re logged in to your device with a Windows administrator account. Depending on your version of Windows, follow the instructions presented below:

 

On Windows 7

• Open the Start menu and click on Control Panel.

• Open User Accounts.

• Click on Manage another account.

• All user accounts will be listed on the page. Each account has a status assigned (Administrator, Standard, etc).

• Before installing Bitdefender make sure that you are logged into an account with the status Administrator.

 

On Windows 8

• Right-click in the bottom left corner of your screen (on the Windows logo button).

• Click on Control Panel.

• Open User Accounts.

• Click on Change account type or Manage another account.

• All user accounts will be listed on the page. Each account has a status assigned (Administrator, Standard, etc).

• Before installing Bitdefender make sure that you are logged into an account with the status Administrator.

 

On Windows 10

• Click the bottom-left Windows button to open the Start Menu.

• Type control panel in the search box and select Control Panel in the results.

• Open User Accounts.

• Click on Change account type.

• All user accounts will be listed on the page. Each account has a status assigned (Administrator, Standard, etc).

• Before installing Bitdefender make sure that you are logged into an account with the status Administrator.
