How to Use OneClick Optimizer to Boost PC Speed & Free Up Space

When you run OneClick Optimizer, it scans and cleans the following:

• Junk files: Temporary files, system cache, and leftover items that take up space.
• Registry issues: Invalid entries and broken links in the Windows registry.
• Browser data: Cached files, cookies, and history from web browsers.

Follow these steps to optimize your PC quickly and easily with Bitdefender:

1. Open Bitdefender

Bring up the Bitdefender security solution installed on your Windows PC.

2. Access OneClick Optimizer

• In the left-hand menu, click Utilities.
• Click the Optimize button in the OneClick Optimizer panel.

• Wait for Bitdefender to check your system for unnecessary files, registry issues and privacy-related data (like browser cookies).

3. Review Selected Files (optional)

Once the analysis is complete, you’ll see a summary of the items that can be cleaned. You have full control over what gets removed:

• To see more details, click View details / View issues next to each category: Disk Cleanup. Registry Cleanup, Privacy Cleanup.
• To exclude an entire category from cleanup (e.g. Registry Cleanup), simply uncheck the corresponding box.

• To avoid deleting specific items (e.g. Internet Explorer cookies) within a category:
  1. Click View details next to the category (e.g. Privacy Cleanup).
  2. Click the small arrow pointing down next to the name of the browser to expand the section.
  3. Uncheck the item you want to exclude (e.g. Internet Explorer cookies).
  4. Click Back to return to the main optimizer screen.

4. Start the Optimization

Once you’re satisfied with the selected items, click Optimize again to remove all detected issues. Bitdefender will complete the optimization in a few seconds.

5. View Report (optional)

After the process is finished, click View detailed report to see a full summary of the actions taken.

For best results, run OneClick Optimizer once a month to keep your system optimized or anytime your PC feels slow or cluttered.

If you encounter issues while using Bitdefender OneClick Optimizer or you’re unsure why no items appear after a check, here are some helpful tips:

• Can’t find the OneClick Optimizer feature? OneClick Optimizer is available only on Windows and requires Bitdefender Total Security or a higher-tier subscription. It’s part of the Utilities section, which isn’t included in entry-level products like Bitdefender Antivirus Plus or Bitdefender Internet Security. Check your subscription details under My Account within the Bitdefender interface.
• No items to be optimized? If Bitdefender doesn’t find any junk files, registry errors, or privacy-related data, your system may already be in good shape. This is normal if you’ve recently optimized your PC or use cleanup tools regularly.
