Once Call Blocking is enabled in Bitdefender Mobile Security for Android, it works silently in the background, automatically stopping scam, spam, and hidden callers. You can also manually block incoming international calls, as well as individual phone numbers through the Call Blocking feature. Here’s how:
Blocking Calls by Number/Country
1. Access Call Blocking:
- Open the Bitdefender Mobile Security app
on your Android device.
- Tap the bottom-right menu ∴ then select Call Blocker.
2. Add a Number/Country Code to Block List:
- Tap on Block List at the top of the Call Blocking module.
- Press the Add Number button.
- Choose how to add the number:
- Recent calls: Select from your recent call history the phone number you wish to block.
- Contacts: Choose a contact from your saved list.
- Country code: Block all calls from a specific country by selecting its code. (Saved contacts from that country will not be blocked.)
- Phone number: Manually enter the phone number you wish to block.
3. Assign a Label:
- After selecting or entering a number, assign a tag to categorize the call: Untrusted, Fraudulent, or Spam.
- When calls are blocked by country code, the default tag will be “Untrusted.”
4. Confirm Blocking:
- Tap Block Number to add it to your block list.
Managing Blocked Numbers
View Blocked Numbers:
- All blocked numbers will appear in the Block list with their assigned tags (Untrusted, Fraudulent, or Spam).
Unblock a Number:
- Tap the three-dot menu (•••) next to the number.
- Select Unblock to remove it from the list.
