Google has added the free Bitdefender Quickscan security tool to its Chrome extensions library. Apparently, it is the first antivirus-related tool to be accepted in the repository.

Quickscan on Chrome has already gained more than 6000 users in the first week. We’re happy to be able to bring the technology to a new user community, especially one that is developing and evolving as dynamically as that of Chrome.
