Bitdefender Datto Companion App: Enhancing Security Automation and Data Synchronization

We're excited to announce the launch of the new Bitdefender Datto Companion App! This innovative solution is designed to optimize the integration of Bitdefender GravityZone with Datto RMM, further automating security agent deployment and improving inventory synchronization across platforms. This upgrade results from our continual commitment to provide industry-leading security solutions to our Remote Monitoring and Management (RMM) Managed Service Provider (MSP) partners.

Streamlining integration with Datto RMM

The new Companion App simplifies the process of provisioning Datto sites as GravityZone companies within the Control Center by employing Datto RMM inventory as its starting point, effectively mapping corresponding entities for enhanced synchronization.

This advanced integration offers response actions to any discrepancy between inventories, ensuring they remain consistently synchronized. This breakthrough not only increases productivity, but also enhances the scalability between the two platforms.

Empowering RMM MSP partners

This integration upgrade empowers our RMM MSP partners with clear visibility of data for each Datto site, mapped to its corresponding GravityZone company. This visibility, coupled with the extra features of GravityZone Control Center, exceeds what is possible via traditional integrations, allowing partners to bolster their customer security.

Bitdefender Datto Companion App

The new Datto Companion App is a management console that simplifies the mapping of Datto RMM Sites into Bitdefender GravityZone companies. To register on the Companion App, you will need to provide your Datto RMM tenant server address, user API key, and user API secret.

Once a Datto RMM Site is mapped to a Bitdefender GravityZone company, an association between the two is automatically created within the Datto Companion App, providing the foundation for autonomous synchronization. This alignment ensures accurate deployment of the Bitdefender security agent to the correct Datto RMM targets, grouped and managed effectively within their respective GravityZone companies.

Bitdefender components

Our Companion App integration includes the Bitdefender GravityZone Endpoint Management [Datto Companion APP] and Bitdefender GravityZone - Device Monitor. The former allows you to deploy the Bitdefender agent security across sites and devices through the Web Portal and configure response actions for monitoring policies. The latter enables you to set up component monitors as monitoring policies. These components ensure automated security services compatible with Windows, macOS, and Linux devices.
