New Features and Improvements

  • Bitdefender Endpoint Security Tools is now compatible with Windows Redstone 3.
  • Added support for running local custom on-demand scan tasks using the Command Line Interface.
  • Improved the scanning for fileless attacks with new capabilities, including command line scanning and memory buffer scanning.
  • Added SQL Server 2016 to the Bitdefender Endpoint Security Tools default exclusions.
  • Bitdefender Endpoint Security Tools is now available in Russian and Italian languages.

Resolved Issues

  • A Volume Shadow Copy (VSS) Service error occurred on Windows servers having the "Quiesce guest filesystem" option enabled in VMWare, once Bitdefender Endpoint Security Tools was installed on them. This issue is now fixed.
  • Fixed a XenApp login slowdown occurred on Bitdefender Endpoint Security Tools endpoints while the Advanced Threat Control module was enabled.
  • In certain situations, Bitdefender Endpoint Security Tools endpoints could not play DRM protected Flash media content in Internet Explorer 11. This issue is now fixed.
  • In certain situations, Bitdefender Endpoint Security Tools was incorrectly displayed as outdated in the GravityZone Control Center. This issue is now fixed.
  • After upgrading to Windows 10 Redstone2, some previously discovered devices could not be detected anymore with the Device Control Module. This issue is now fixed.
  • When adding HyperDetect, detections on files that were prior cached as clean, were not triggered. This issue is now fixed.
  • The Volume Encryption PIN minimum length did not work on all Windows versions. This issue is now fixed.
