Syrian Electronic Army Claims to Have Breached US Central Command

The Syrian Electronic Army hackers group alleges it breached US Central Command’s systems to protest the US intention of using cyber warfare against Syria, according to Softpedia News.

SEA hackers posted a screenshot to prove they breached the servers of Army Knowledge Online (AKO). The AKO information relates to classified and unclassified networks for the US Army and Department of Defense enterprise customers.

“Operation targeting CENTCOM are now in motion due to Obama's decision to attack Syria with electronic warfare,” twitted SEA.

Information related to US Air Force operations were found in the published image.

So far, CENTCOM officials told the Tampa Tribune that the SEA’s alleged breach is “totally bogus.”

The SEA said it will release more CENTCOM data in coming days, SEA advised in a tweet. “We will update you with specific details and hundreds of documents that the #SEA has obtained.”
