Bitdefender Cements Anti-spam Leadership With 30th Vbspam Win 2908

Bitdefender has become the only company to solidify its position as the most awarded company in anti-spam testing by Virus Bulletin.

Bitdefender, creator of innovative antivirus software solutions, has become the only company to solidify its position as the most awarded company in anti-spam testing by Virus Bulletin, achieving certification in all 30 tests by the independent analysis firm.

As of the latest Virus Bulletin round of tests, Bitdefender has also won eight consecutive VBSpam+ awards for outstanding spam detection without a single false positive since November of 2012, attesting to the company’s long-term view of product quality and development.

For Virus Bulletin’s latest round of testing, in March, the firm raised the criteria for achieving its highest credit, the VBSpam+ Award. Still, Bitdefender was one of the four companies, among 21 entrants, to win it, extending its years-long winning streak.  Bitdefender has now won eight consecutive VBSpam+ awards since January of 2013.

"Bitdefender hasn’t missed a single legitimate email in our tests since November 2012. This test was no different,” Virus Bulletin wrote in its review of its latest round of testing. “Bitdefender achieves this month’s highest final score. Just as impressively, the Romanian company is awarded its 30th VBSpam award."

In the March round of tests, Bitdefender Security for Mail Servers 3.1.2 beat all other competitors with a spam catch rate of 99.95 percent and zero false positives. Its final score of 99.94 placed it ahead of 14 competitors, including Kaspersky, Sophos, IBM and others.
