What to do when you’re billed twice for your Bitdefender purchase

We struggle to find the solution that best fits your needs, so if you are billed twice, you can either:

• merge both activation codes into a single subscription, with extended validity
• add a separate subscription, manageable from the same Central account
• share one of the subscriptions with the dear ones
• or contact Bitdefender support to request a refund

A single Central account supports the activation and usage in parallel of multiple subscriptions valid for the same Bitdefender product (e.g. Bitdefender Total Security for 1 device and Bitdefender Total Security for 5 devices). If two subscriptions are identical and cover the same number of devices (e.g. two subscriptions Bitdefender Total Security for 1 device), during the activation of the second subscription you will have the possibility to merge them into a single subscription, with extended validity. 

To combine the validity of two or more activation codes, follow the steps below:

1. Go to Bitdefender Central and sign in.

2. Click on the My Subscriptions panel, located on the left side of the page.

3. Click the + Activate with code link.

4. Type in the second code, then press ACTIVATE.

5. Select “Extend validity for…” to add the remaining days on your new subscription to the current subscription period.

For example, we have an existing subscription for Bitdefender Total Security, 1 device, that expires on 2020/12/20. We want to add on top of it a code for Bitdefender Total Security, valid for 365 days, 1 device. After the merge, we will have Bitdefender Total Security, valid until 2021/12/20, 1 device.

6. Click ACTIVATE to merge the two validity periods.
