Bitdefender Parental Control is officially ending support for Android 4.4

Bitdefender is committed to delivering innovative, effective security solutions to our customers. As technologies and threats evolve, Bitdefender continues to proactively develop and shape its solutions set. The resulting new solutions and feature modifications often lead to a need for discontinuing older software revisions as well as products.

Bitdefender will refocus staffing and resources on protecting newer versions of Android.

Therefore, Bitdefender Parental Control will no longer issue updates for users of the outdated Android 4.4 KitKat versions and below starting September 30, 2020.

These users may experience total or partial loss of functionality of the Bitdefender Parental Control app. If you are among those affected, you have most likely received an email from us. Look it up and follow the recommended steps.

The new minimum requirements in terms of operating system will be Android 5 (Lollipop) or later.
