5 Years in Prison for Scarlett Johansson Hacker

The hacker who hijacked nude pictures of Scarlett Johansson, Mila Kunis and other celebrities was sentenced to five years in prison and fined $150,000 for the attacks.

35-year-old Christopher Chaney, from Florida, pleaded guilty to breaking into the email accounts of other celebrities too, including Christina Aguilera, Vanessa Hudgens, Lady Gaga, and Miley Cyrus. He is scheduled to be sentenced for those attacks at the end of next month.

Of the fines, the biggest sum goes to actress and singer Renee Olstead, at $76,767.35, followed by $66,179.46 for Scarlett Johansson. At the same time, judges decided Christina Aguilera should get $7,500 for the semi-naked pictures that got out in the tabloids after the attack.

The police investigation called “Operation Hackerazzi” involved approximately 50 celebrities, and rumor has it not only women were hacked. According to media reports, Chaney broke into the account of male stars too, especially the ones who have hidden their sexual orientation to remain in the spotlight.

According to TMZ.Com, the man was hunted down by the feds at the run-down brick home he once shared with his late grandmother. When asked about his hacking techniques, Chainey explained that getting into Hollywood e-mails was relatively easy: he used Google and the “I forgot my password” button.

Before a deal was made by his lawyers, the Hollywood hacker originally faced up to 121 years in prison.
