The above mentioned version introduces the following features and fixes:
A. New Features
- Product update - improvements and optimizations can now be delivered in small files, without the need to reinstall the whole product
- Product rollback - In case a product update does not satisfy your company needs, you can choose to rollback to your previous option. Also if you rolled-back by mistake, you can choose to upgrade again.
- Accounts for real file type during scanning; even if a file extension is changed from exe to txt, it will be caught by the engines
- Email alerts can now be configured using SMTP server authentication
- Custom installation (install on a different drive than C) - only available for the stand alone kit
- Performance improvements and a smaller memory footprint
- Optimized scanning: avoids scanning files known to be safe, improving the scan speed and reducing the system load. Bitdefender provides a database of files that are known to be safe, and updates this database on a continual basis
- Tighter integration with Management Server
- Enhanced the policies options
- Added a new malware report (File Server Malware Activity Report) that can be seen in the BDMS Dashboard an also sent through email; this report contains information about on-access and on-demand scans
B. Known issues

- Unicode files are not displayed well in the product log if they are inside the archives
- The tray icon contextual menu doesn't closes only when you click an option on the menu, not when clicking anywhere else on the screen.
- When adding Bitdefender Security for File Servers using Modify, BDFsTray is not started automatically
- A packed infect file is disinfected(deleted) even the action logged is deny
- A multivolume archive cannot be copied from a share where a BDFS runs.
- The "0" value can be entered at the statistics purge interval..
- When Windows Servers products are uninstalled other MMC consoles are also closed.
C. How to install
Versions that are upgraded using this kit are: Bitdefender Security for File Servers v 2.4.x, v 3.0.x, v 3.1.x, v 3.2.x and v 3.3. For upgrades from versions 2.4, some of the settings will be lost. For upgrades from version 3.0 and v 3.1, settings will NOT be migrated from the old product to the new one. For upgrades from versions 3.2 and 3.3 settings will be migrated from the old product to the new one.

In the Product Update section of your software, you will see a notification about a new version being available.

B. Known issues
- Delete email action does not work on Exchange 2000 VSAPI scanning, it only works for Exchange 2000 SMTP scanning.
- A zip file with one clean and one infected rar item will be deleted.
- In a zip attachment containing clean and infected items, the clean files are not counted in statistics.
- For a mail sent outside the organization, the additional action " archive / redirect inbound mail to address" will not work if the action is set to "redirect mail".
- If an attachment filtering or content filtering rule is created and the user and sets a remote location (mapped drive, network share) for saving the emails caught by the rule, the mails will not be saved in this type of locations
- If MS Exchange is in English and the Bitdefender Security for Exchange product is installed in a Unicode path, the console will not start.
- If you had Bitdefender Security for Mail Servers installed and you did a Modify to try to install Bitdefender Security for Exchange, the default rules will be corrupted.
- Set defaults for To/From Antivirus Policy will not clear previously set groups.

- If you press the "cancel" button when the user list is loaded, the user tree can be in an inconsistent state
