Troubleshooting Bitdefender Update Server connectivity issues

In order to apply the patch you need to follow the steps below:


  1. Download     the patch (save it to a location of your choice);
  2. Run the patch (bdupdsvrptch.exe) and wait for the confirmation dialog;
  3. Click OK in the confirmation dialog.

Besides the proxy issue the above patch implements a validation mechanism for incomplete update files, returns correct information about the update process and solves other minor issues.

After running this patch launch the Bitdefender Update Server (Start -> Programs -> Bitdefender Enterprise Manager -> Bitdefender Update Server) and click Update now (if you already configured the correct proxy information). The download process should work now.
