Installing the Bitdefender Enterprise Manager 2.5 antivirus add-on

Bitdefender Enterprise antivirus server Add-on extends the capabilities of Bitdefender Enterprise Manager allowing it to remotely install, manage and update Bitdefender client antivirus products. The antivirus server add-on is available in two editions, Standard and Professional Plus.

Bitdefender Antivirus Server Add-on can be installed exclusively on a Bitdefender Enterprise server. The server add-on provides a client antivirus setup file together with related task templates for remote management. Once installed, the tasks templates become visible in Bitdefender Enterprise Management Console.

To install Bitdefender Enterprise antivirus server add-on follow the steps:

  1. Double-click the setup file and click Next.
  2. Read the License Agreement, select I accept the terms in the License Agreement and click Next.
  3. Select the setup type and click Next.

    Select Typical or Complete to install all modules.

    To perform a customized setup, select Custom and click Next. The following window allows to select the preferred modules. Bitdefender Client antivirus (Standard or Professional Plus) 8 installs the client antivirus setup file together with the related task templates for remote management. Task templates for version 7 installs only the task templates for remote administration of previous versions of Bitdefender client antivirus. This option is recommended for networks upgrading from previous versions of Bitdefender Enterprise Manager.

    Upon selection, a short description and the minimum hard disk space requirements are displayed. The customized setup allows specifying the installation folder. To specify a different folder, click Browse and select the preferred folder.

    When the customization is finished click Next.

  4. Click Install.
  5. Click Finish to complete the setup.
