Bitdefender Management Server Reporting Center- Insight
Bitdefender Client Security is an easy to use business security and management solution, which delivers superior proactive protection from viruses, spyware, rootkits, spam, phishing and other malware. It offers the following components: Bitdefender Management Server (with/without add-on), Bitdefender Local Update Server, Bitdefender Business Client and Bitdefender Management Agent;
The Bitdefender Management Server allows you to create centralized reports on the security status of the network computers managed by Bitdefender Management Server. Using the Reporting Center allows you to find out valuable security information regarding your administered computer clients, such as:
- Identifying network security issues, threats and vulnerabilities.
- Monitoring and ensuring compliance with the organization's security policies.
- Checking and assessing the network security status.
- Monitoring security incidents and malware activity.
- Providing upper management with easy-to-interpret data on network security.
Reports are created based on built-in report templates, using data from the Bitdefender Management Server's database. Numerous report templates are available for each Bitdefender product included into the centralized management platform (over 20 templates for Bitdefender Business Client). The report templates are presented in detail in the Bitdefender Management Server Administration Guide at chapter 18. Reporting Center (p. 160).
1. Creating Reports
In order to create a new report please follow the next steps:
a. Open the Bitdefender Management Console and login.
b. From the right pane tree, collapse the Reporting Center menu and select Create New Report.
c. On the main window you must select the template category accordingly with the product for which you want to generate the report.

d. After you selected the template category you will see the list of available templates for that product. For demonstration purposes we will continue considering that we have chosen the Bitdefender Business Client Reports. At this point, we must choose a template report, for example Malware report template, and click Next.

e. The next step is to choose the target computers. You can either choose specific computers, groups of computers or an IP address range of computers for which the report will be generated. After the target is selected, click Next.

f. Now you must choose the period for which the report will be generated and, if you would like to, you can schedule the report to regenerate at a specific time interval. If you choose to schedule the report you will find available the last generated report under the Reporting Center -> Scheduled Reports. After you finish this configuration, click Finish.

2. Viewing a Generated Report
Once the report is generated, you have 2 view modes available: Summary and Details. In the Summary view, you can see the reported information structured into interactive graphical information. If you want to see more details for every reported item, select the Details section.

3. Saving a Generated Report
After the report is successfully generated, you can save a full version of the report in html format by clicking the Save button or you can export a brief report in pdf format by clicking the Export button. If you would like to print the current generated report, click the Print button.
