You can allow or block computers for each specific network adapter by setting up "Zones" of access with them.
A "Trusted Zone" is a computer that you fully trust, meaning that all traffic between your computer and a trusted computer is allowed. To share resources with specific computers in an unsecured wireless network, add them as allowed computers.
An "Untrusted Zone" is a computer that you do not want to communicate with at all.
Here's how you can create access zones:
1. In the Expert View, go to the Firewall module, and click the Network tab to access the Network zones. This table displays the current network zones per adapter.
2. To add a zone, select an Adapter and then click the Add Zone button.
3. You can either enter the IP address or select it from the list for the computer you want to add. Select the Allow option to allow all traffic between your computer and the selected computer or the Deny action to block all traffic.
4. You can edit the zone at any time by double clicking on it or selecting it and choose Edit Zone
If you encounter any issues during the configuration, you can start a Troubleshooting wizard from the Settings tab that will assist you.
The wizard will check for an Internet connection. If access to the Internet is not available, you will be redirected to integrated support. According to the specific situation, the wizard will generate a rule that will be passed to the firewall application logic. The Troubleshooting wizard will be launched from the Firewall interface and, if appropriate, from Integrated Support, as an additional troubleshooting method.
If you fail to connect to a computer, you can select the "I am trying to access a computer in my network and the action fails" option from the Troubleshooting wizard, then use the "Choose computer" dialog to help find the available computers in the network. You will be able to a computer and allow communication with it by adding its IP address or Computer Name.
