Removing Bitdefender Antivirus for Mac

Being a complex application, Bitdefender Antivirus for Mac cannot be removed just by dragging the icon from the Applications folder to the Trash.

To remove Bitdefender Antivirus for Mac, you need the bitdefender.dmg installation file (either the original or a new one).

Locate the bitdefender.dmg file and double-click it. The following window will appear.

 
Step 1:
Double click Bitdefender Uninstaller. This will run the uninstall script of Bitdefender Antivirus for Mac

Step 2: 
Welcome window

 

Click Continue.

Step 3:
 Run the uninstall process

Click the Install button – this starts the process.

Step 4: Finish

You can see if the uninstall script was successful. Click Close to exit the window.
