Account Manager (Silicon Valley)

Bitdefender, the technology leader in anti-malware software industry, is seeking an Account Manager to join their rapidly business team in Santa Clara, CA, to strengthen our group of 600 professionals worldwide. This position comes with personal sales quota and no direct reports to manage. This position will report to a Regional Leader (USA) and European Management (EU).


Partners management, business growth with current partners

  • ·         Cooperates with Business Development Managers to achieve the best results from the assigned territory
  • ·         Maintains the relationships with existing partners
  • ·         Manages and grows business with existing partners
  • ·         Defines and executes partner business plans
  • ·         Interfaces with key staff of partners in order to coordinate sales and marketing activities
  • ·         Takes initiative in delivering to the partners the necessary trainings and certifications for Bitdefender´s products and services
  • ·         Communicates with partners on new products and service offerings
  • ·         Responsible for implementing sales policies/partnership programs/discounts and promotions
  • ·         Day-to-day requests and queries 
  • ·         Addresses problems with partners’ orders
  • ·         Cooperates with different departments within the company in order to fulfill partners’ requests
  • ·         Conducts contract negotiations with existing partners
  • ·         Assures that partners and end users receive proper technical support
  • ·         Makes sure that partners know where and how to address Bitdefender technical support team
  • ·         Uses Professional Services team to support partners and their clients with technical and products issues
  • ·         Monitors partner performance and addresses low performers quickly with training tools, evaluates a business plan and KPI’s
  • ·         Leads and opportunities management: distributes them among partners, follows up and reports
  • ·         Ensures that company’s database and reports are maintained with current and accurate information
  • ·         Participates in marketing planning, ensures that promotions succeed according to plan
  • ·         Sets own priorities and schedules to meet established goals; meets commitments consistently


Demand generation

  • ·         Ensures the appropriate level of investment is being made on demand generation activities by Bitdefender and partners, analyzes output from demand generation efforts
  • ·         Optimizes activities across partners to fill the pipeline
  • ·         Participates in preparing marketing plans with partners to maximize revenue

Tracking & Analysis

  • ·         Monitors client and partners satisfaction level and evaluates issues of dissatisfaction for quick resolution
  • ·         Tracks and reports the sales results and targets achievements
  • ·         Constant business monitoring
  • ·         Invoicing & follow up on payments
  • ·         Responsible for timely and accurate sales reports 



  • ·         Experience in channel sales, managing resellers;
  • ·         Experience in IT security market;
  • ·         Personal passion for driving results;
  • ·         Ability to perform job functions independently with limited supervision;
  • ·         Effective in resolving partner situations and conflicts.
